New Era Vineyards is a premium cool climate wine label and vineyard located just outside woodside in the picturesque Adelaide Hills. It was one of the pioneering vineyards established in the cool climate of the Woodside Adelaide Hills wine region in 1988, who specialise in the production of alternate varieties. The fruit for these small batch wines is carefully hand selected in the vineyard and then crafted into wines using boutique traditional method’s by father and son combination Bob and Iain Baxter.

Art Series Pinot Grigio 2023
bouquet of white blossom and hints of pure lemon and grapefruit, while the palate reveals ripe, delicious apple, pear and peach flavours that finish in a wave of flinty pebbles in a stream.
Art Series Arneis 2022
Aromas of Lemongrass, Honeydew, Almonds and perfume. A rich and creamy palate showing Nashi Pears, Apricots, and glazed peaches to finish.
Barrel Select Pinot Noir 2022
"A plummy, rich pinot noir with chocolate inflections, high-toned minty and eucalyptus elements, rhubarb, cranberry, and faint game-meat notes in tow. Between this, a slosh of dark cherry, chocolate and herbal notes. It feels a bit stewed and forward, despite its intent as a more powerful and full-flavoured style." Mike Bennie, 2025 Halliday Companion
Art Series Lagrein 2021
"A variety from Italy's Alto Adige offering colour intensity, a raft of bolshy tannins that cuddle the cheeks, and aromas so beautifully and incongruously alpine that the whole equation makes me smile with wonder. This is delicious!" Ned Goodwin, 2024 Halliday Companion
Art Series Gruner Veltliner 2021
Some winemaking thought has gone into the making of this grüner, delivering complex flavours in yellow apple, pear, ginger, lovage and white pepper. Entwined in a generous palate, textural and long offset by nicely by juicy acidity." Jeni Port, 2023 Halliday Companion
Barrel Select Vintage Touriga Nacional 2019
"A vintage fortified that nicely preserves the elegant, aromatic nature of the grape while presenting a fresh young wine that will benefit from further ageing. Shows attractive violet notes with plum, chocolate, blackstrap licorice and spice." Jeni Port, Halliday Wine Companion
Barrel Select Montepulciano 2020
"Deep purple hues with a range of attractive aromas in plum, black cherry, licorice and olive tapenade, with generous, savoury flavour's to follow. Inky and dense, it's far from shy. Rather, its boldness deserves more time in bottle to meld with some pretty sturdy tannins." Jeni Port, 2023 Halliday Companion
Art Series Tempranillo 2019
"The colour is intense, the bouquet equally so, with varietally spot-on cherry cola and woven-in oak exuding spice as well as cedar aromas. More concentration and intensity comes in the drinking – masses of dark crimson plum and blackberry, chewy tannins, and energetic acidity. One solidly structured wine that will last for years." Tony Love, 2022 Halliday Wine Companion
Art Series Syrah 2018
"Vinified in two batches with different clones, one parcel given extended post-ferment maceration, then a two-stage blending process followed by 12 months maturation in new and used French hogsheads. This is a high quality wine, full of delicious black fruits on the long, supple palate, the oak balanced and integrated." James Halliday
Art Series Touriga Nacional 2018
"Impressive wine. A deep well of dark fruits on the bouquet foreshadows the medium-bodied palate with its ultra-supple and round cascade of spiced fruits. Total seduction." James Halliday
Art Series Cabernet Sauvignon 2016
"Immediately, resolutely cabernet sauvignon! Great to see the grape variety so enhanced and celebrated without too much winemaking noise in the background. Textbook descriptors all round: blackcurrant, cinnamon, clove and violets, with just a light leafy theme throughout. Gently grippy palate to close." Jeni Port, Halliday Wine Companion.
New Era Sangiovese 2020
Flavours and aromas, especially tart cherries and display intense floral notes. With red berry fruit and spice on the palate, finishing with a balanced savoury finish.
